„Cendres” („Popioły”) to emocjonalny thriller umiejscowiony gdzieś pomiędzy fikcją a rzeczywistością, równocześnie znakomity i niepokojący. Produkcja powstała na kanwie książki G. Heivolla i opowiada historię norweskiego podpalacza. Heivoll porównuje owo podpalenie z wydarzeniami z własnego życia, a wtedy natychmiast pojawiają się niejednoznaczne i subtelne paralele. Za licznymi pożarami domów kryje się intymna wypowiedź, która próbuje opisać ogień szaleństwa ukryty w każdym z nas.
“Cendres” (“Ashes”) is an emotional thriller straddling fiction and reality, equally remarkable and disturbing. Based on the book by G. Heivoll, the production tells the true story of a Norwegian arsonist. When Heivoll compares this event to his own life, ambiguous and subtle parallels emerge. Behind multiple housefires lies an intimate narrative, one that examines the mad fire at the bottom of every human being.

Yngvild Aspeli, reżyserka, aktorka, lalkarka tworzy na naszych oczach plastyczny świat, próbujący opisać najbardziej skrywane uczucia, przetwarzając je na słowa, dźwięki i gesty, uruchamiając zarówno wyobraźnię jak i materię. Większość jej projektów inspirowana jest współczesną literaturą. Przestawienia, które powstały podczas jej pracy z zespołem Plexus Polaire to m.in. „Sygnały” (2011), „Opera na opak” (2013), „Popioły” (2014) i „Ciemna komnata” (2017). Obecnie pracuje nad adaptacją „Moby Dicka”, którego premiera odbędzie się w 2020 roku.
Director, actress and puppeteer, Yngvild Aspeli takes us into a visual world that brings to life our most buried feelings in images and words, sounds and gestures, imagination and substance. Most of her works are inspired by contemporary literature. Within her company Plexus Polaire, she has directed 4 shows: “Signals” (2011), “Opera Opaque” (2013), “Ashes” (2014) and “Chambre Noire” (2017). She’s working on the adaptation of “Moby Dick” that will have its premiere in 2020.
