Prezentacja to przegląd zadań, jakie stawiane są na Wydziale Lalkarskim uczelni w Stuttgarcie: począwszy od małych scenek studentów pierwszego roku, ukazujących ich osiągnięcia animacyjne („Najlepszy nauczyciel jest rybą”), przez pokaz animowania przedmiotów przyjmujący formę manifestów, aż do krótkiego solo studentki ostatniego roku. Ta ostatnia scena, zatytułowana „W moim pokoju”, mierzy się z Hikkikomori – problemem młodych ludzi z Japonii, którzy odmawiają wyjścia ze swoich sypialni przez dłuższy czas. Specyficzna forma eskapizmu, która dotyczy już ponad miliona nastolatków z Kraj Kwitnącej Wiśni, stała się inspiracją do przerażającej fantasmagorii Anne Brüssau, ukazanej prawie bez użycia światła.
A crossover of the things “going on” in the Stuttgart School of Figurentheater: starting from little scenes from the first year animation course (“The best teacher is a fish”), over object animations with individual manifestos to a short solo of a student of the last year. “In my room” deals with the Japanese phenomenon of Hikkikomori, young people who refuse to leave their bedrooms for a longer time. Over half a million of teenagers are estimated to this kind of escapism, which is the base for a scary phantasm of Anne Brüssau, a scene with almost no light.

Figurentheater Department
Wydział Lalkarski został założony w 1983 roku i koncentruje się na eksploracji innowacyjnych form teatralnych, takich jak teatr przedmiotu i materii, chociaż sztuki plastyczne, jako punkt wyjścia procesu tworzenia, są wciąż ważną częścią programu studiów. Kurs licencjacki koncentruje się przede wszystkim na pracy z przedmiotem. Aktor stawiany jest w relacji z materią, obiektem, lalką i ciałem, ale zdobywa także umiejętność pracy z kamerą oraz w przestrzeni publicznej. Ponadto podczas studiów adepci uczą się tradycyjnych technik. Wydział Lalkarski to miejsce poszukiwań nowatorskich środków wyrazu, a jego celem jest wspieranie studentów w procesie odkrywania własnego języka teatru oraz wydobywania ich indywidualnego potencjału jako współczesnych twórców.
The department Figurentheater was founded in 1983 and since then it has been focused on the innovative theatre forms like material- and object theatre. Visual art as a starting point for the performing process is still part of the studies. The University’s bachelor degree course in Puppetry and animation stands for performing with things. We put ourselves in relation to material, objects, puppets and bodies on stage as well as in front of the film camera and in public space. The studies span from performing skills to art and creative design. The course includes traditional and contemporary animation techniques and confronts them with the current art context. The department Figurentheater regards itself as a place for contemporary artistic research with the aim to support the students in discovering their own artistic signature and creative potential to become a performer.
